Sound design special features
Play the piano
As a tutorial for hand control of the experience, the user could play a virtual piano at the beginning. For this purpose, each key had to be created in different velocities as an audio file and integrated accordingly.

Interactive orchestra
One of the highlights of the experience was the opportunity to conduct a virtual orchestra yourself. To do this, the orchestra had to be divided into individual stems according to instrument groups and each group had to be made dynamically controllable in volume and intensity. The spatial distribution and width of the orchestra were also crucial for the immersive effect of the scene.

Lively old town
Visually, the carriage ride through Düsseldorf's old town from 1850 was the highlight of the experience, so the sound design had to be in no way inferior to the visuals. A particularly detailed soundscape that fills all visible and invisible sources with life was important here. Paired with realistic reverb zones depending on the section of road and its size, an exceptionally dense atmosphere was created.

Music
The music plays a decisive role on many levels in this experience, so it was important to set the scene perfectly for the corresponding cues and to create acoustic space for it.
